Why dating in your 30s is different and better than dating in your 20s

At an age when most people are married and have a family, if you find yourself starting to date, do not feel embarrassed. A lot of millennials are following suit with many in their 30s looking for either short-term or long-term relationships. Whether single, divorced, single parents, or out of a long term relationship, a lot of people are discovering that dating in your 30s is much better and more liberating than dating in your 20s. Here’s why. It’s not always about marriage While not everybody dating in their 20s is keen on getting married, it is mostly the eventual agenda. Once in your 30s, you are more or less clear about what you want in life and whether marriage suits you or not. A lot of people in their 30s are okay with finding a partner, and not necessarily a spouse. For a generation that is leaning more towards companionship and does not frown upon live-in relationships, this kind of thought change is welcome. People are more mature and self-confident Most people in their 30s are established in their career, have developed a more-or-less stable personality and have seen life, and also travelled. So what you get is a person who is sure of themselves, is confident in their skin and has a mature though process. Unlike in your 20s, where you are still figuring out life and the path you wish to take. People once on their 30s are more sorted. There’s no space or tolerance for drama A person in their 30s is a professional, or a businessperson, or an entepreneur. They have a set routine, their own circle and occupations. When dating, they have specific agendas in mind and kind of people they want to meet. This leaves very less room for faking personalities, or drama. Not to say that there are no jerks in the 30+ group. Dating at any age has its own charm.
